Skip Shelton is a technology executive and former counterterrorism official running for Lieutenant Governor to lower costs, cut regulations, and restore public safety in California.

Raised in Southern California with the values of hard work, service, and personal responsibility, Skip built a career protecting our borders and advancing American innovation. He served in national security and counterterrorism roles at home and abroad. He later moved to the private sector, working for a California hyperscaler and AI infrastructure company.

Skip is the co-founder of AI Nsight, a defense technology company focused on modernizing government decision-making and strengthening national security. As a small business owner, he believes government should empower innovation—not stand in its way.

His story reflects the promise of the California Dream—the belief that with determination, service, and opportunity, anyone can build a better future.

Skip is running for Lieutenant Governor because he believes California should once again be affordable, safe, and open for opportunity. His campaign is focused on lowering the cost of living, supporting job creation and innovation, strengthening public safety, and bringing practical, results-driven leadership back to the state.
